About

The NKY Homebrewers Guild was co-founded in January 2012 by Jon Covey and Eddie Unterreiner of Hebron, KY. The expressed desire of homebrewers in Northern Kentucky to have somewhere to brew, learn and discuss brewing together was the primary driving force. The club was created out of a passion for homebrewing and the desire to share and advance homebrewing in NKY.

We are a brew-centric club that also gathers for social engagements such as happy hours, local craft brewery tours/visits, craft beer festivals, and competitions. The core purpose of the Guild is to gather monthly at a members residence to watch, help, teach and learn the process of creating high quality hand crafted beer. The culmination of our members experience and knowledge help us all to become better brewers. If they can facilitate, we will have multiple brewers creating delicious beers together.

Since we are a fellowship of brewers, there are no dues, politics, attitudes, or elected officials to get upset about. Gatherings will be posted to the calendar as far in advance as possible, but impromptu gatherings also happen so visit often and watch for the next event. There are several events that we actively participate in: the AHA sanctioned Club Only competitions, local competitions and festivals.

If you enjoy making and drinking great beer, please participate in discussions in the forums, on facebook and attend our gatherings. Feel free to stop by one of the meetings anytime, you will be greeted with a warm welcome and a delicious homebrew. A word of warning though, once you become involved you may develop an addiction to the Guild!
