As the Hammerdown Brew Cup competition approaches, we have lifted the 10 entry per person limit.  If you have additional entries, you can now logon and add them to your entry at the competition site, http://hammerdown.nkyhomebrewers.org/. Please note, you may still only enter one beer per sub-category.

The Northern Kentucky Homebrewers Guild and Braxton Brewing Company have teamed up to host the Hammerdown Brew Cup Homebrew Competition. The BJCP sanctioned competition will take place at Braxton on Saturday, April 23 2016. Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the award ceremony to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the brewery. 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines Released

  The revised 2015 guidelines are now available on the BJCP website. BJCP exams will transition to the new guidelines in November and either the 2008 or 2015 guidelines can be used for competitions. They hope to have all competitions using the updated guidelines by the end of the year.   Check them out here

West 6th Brew Off

West 6th in Lexington will be hosting a Homebrew competition in March. It looks like they will be hosting the brew on site and providing most of the ingredients for brewers to use.
